CONYERS - Tears and hugs flowed freely as hundreds of mourners and supporters packed the parking lot of Magnet Bottle Shop Wednesday night to celebrate the lives of owner Mun "Moon" Cha and Jimquez Aikens, who were brutally gunned down Sunday.

Jimquez Aikens' family, including his mother, father, 15-year-old daughter, aunts, sister, cousins, and more were surrounded by hugs and warm support. They spoke of the father of three as being a devoted dad who loved old cars and was a hard worker and provider.

Mun Cha's parents, who had flown in from Korea, and his sister, aunts, uncles, cousin, niece and family members who had gathered from other parts of Georgia, Pennsylvania and California, were overwhelmed by the turnout. One after another, the store's customers and community members reached out to hug and cry with Cha's parents and family members.

His mother and father thanked the crowd for coming out. "He's resting peacefully in heaven now," his mother said.

The candlelight vigil, organized by customers, brought a crowd of longtime customers and community members who spoke fondly of their years of interactions with Cha and their disbelief in the tragic events.

Pastor Courtney Dillard spoke on reaching out to everyone with love and the healing power of love. The crowd broke out into renditions of "Amazing Grace" and "This Little Light of Mine."

Donations were collected for both families, but at the end of the night, Cha's parents gave their portion to Aikens' daughter to support her and her brothers.

Funeral services for Jimquez Aikens will be Friday, June 5, noon, and the viewing will be Thursday, June 4, noon - 8 p.m., both at the Church at Covington, 11975 Hwy 142, Oxford, GA.

Funeral services for Mun Cha will be Saturday, June 6, 11 a.m., and the viewing will be Friday, June 5, 8 p.m., both at Lee's Funeral Home and Crematory, 4067 Industrial Park Drive, Norcross, GA 30071.
