A democracy is a government of the people, and elected seats in a democracy are open to just about anyone, with the ideal that great leaders and ideas can come from anywhere, not just from those already in power. But that doesn’t mean these are jobs that anyone can do well.
Voters need to do their homework and choose carefully when they come to the polls. But even more than voters, political parties need to do their part when deciding to support a candidate.
