We have said this before - our local Chamber of Commerce serves our community as well as any chamber in the country.
One of the reasons we can say that is that over the years, the Chamber has had many good leaders on its board; many of those have come through its Leadership Rockdale program.

The Leadership program not only has provided leadership for the chamber but the local community as well. We would suspect that most of our elected leadership in both the city and county have graduated from this program in the past 20 years of its existence. In fact, many of those elected leaders would tell you that their class was the best.

(For your benefit, the best class has been the Class of 2012, which after a year of exploring many facets of the community graduated in June.)

For the last few years, Claire Cline and Tim Baker have spent countless hours shaping and leading Leadership Rockdale; they are to be commended for their efforts.

Currently applications are being taken for the Class of 2013. If you are selected, you will be expected to attend a retreat and to devote one full day a month for a year to learn the ins and outs of the Rockdale community.
