Our thoughts: Coach Frazier

The Heritage football team provided the community with plenty of thrills throughout its first-ever region championship season.

The leader of that group was recognized this week when Chad Frazier was selected as the Region 8-AAAA Coach of the Year.

The honor was well-earned and well-deserved.

It's well known that Frazier guided his team to wins on the field - the most ever for Heritage - but he also led a group of young men off the field.

The fifth-year coach set an example for his players and the rest of the region on how he guided them with a stern hand off the field and in the classroom.

Along with being recognized for wins, we would also like to recognize Frazier for his team's reading to elementary school students and participating in other community-wide events, as is shown in this publication.

Those represent the attitude that trickles down from the top. And in five years, Heritage has been proud of that attitude, Rockdale should be proud of that attitude and, now, the entire region has recognized that attitude.

Congratulations Chad Frazier.
