Georgia Piedmont Technical College's latest Law Enforcement Academy had a very special graduate Tuesday night. The Academy helped 5-year-old Morgan Steward fulfill a life-long dream by making him an honorary Law Enforcement Academy graduate.
Morgan Steward received his Police Academy Graduation Certificate along with the other graduates who have endured rigorous training preparing them to become law enforcement officers.
After learning that Tuesday, Dec. 17, had been declared Officer Morgan Steward Day, Major Harry McCann, Director of GPTC's Law Enforcement Academy, contacted the Covington Police Department to inform them of the Law Enforcement Academy's graduation ceremony Tuesday evening. The Academy invited Steward to "graduate" with the class as part of the day's activities.
Steward will receive a certificate with his name on it, that looks just like the graduates' certificates. In addition to graduating from college, he was introduced with a video presentation created just for him.
