Jean Ellen Barber nee Bowdey, 86, passed away early Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born January 5, 1928 in Rochester, N.Y. to the late John and Gertrude Bowdey. She worked in the medical field until retiring in 1986. She loved her family, helping people and enjoyed working in the medical field. 

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Donald, John, and her sister Gail Rashiatore. She is survived by her husband, Freeman, and her children Nancy, Freeman III, and Alan, as well as grandchildren Robert, Freeman IV, Christopher, and Nastassia. Memorial services were held Saturday, April 5, 2 p.m. at Presbyterian Church of the Resurrection, 3676, Ga. Hwy 20, Conyers, GA 30012, with Pastor Leigh Jones officiating.
