Obituary-Brad-Boiling

Brad Curtis Boling, 46, of Covington passed away Wednesday, April 17, at his residence.

He was born on December 17, 1966 in Atlanta to Charles Brent and Gloria Simpson Boling.

Prior to his illness Brad was very involved in his children's sports teams by coaching or helping in any area that was needed. He enjoyed working out and even continued through this past December. The beach and the lake were where he found his peace by boating, skiing, tubing, and teaching family and friends how to ski. Brad enjoyed cooking out for family and friends and was known for his special hamburgers. His never-back-down attitude was an inspiration to all.

Boling was the Director of Business Services for Rockdale County Public School and had been with the school system for about 14 years.

RCPS Superintendent Richard Autry said, "We lost a member of our family... Brad was a product of the school system... Brad was a very valued employee and as meticulous as they come, but that's what you like in a finance director. I never met a person that was more conscientious in his job and also conscientious and dedicated as a father."

Brad is survived by his wife Lori King Boling of Covington,; daughter Maci Jane Boling; son Charles Gibson "Gib" Boling; father Charles Brent Boling of Conyers; brother Chad James and Angela Boling of Loganville, Ga., sister Amy Sue and Matt Reid of Cumming, Ga; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jane and Larry King of Covington; numerous uncles and aunts, niece and nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Gloria Simpson Boling.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday April 20, 2013 at Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Lewis of Sharon Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackie Beam, Clay Beam, Avery Beam, Amir Sports, Russell Swindle, and Randy Trowell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 5- 8 p.m.
