A nude man was taken to the hospital after causing a disturbance in the middle of the night.

Around 12:40 a.m. on July 7, Police responded to 1125 Northlake Dr to investigate a disturbance call.

Upon arrival the officer was told that a white male showed up, took his clothes off and became verbally abusive toward a crowd, which was African-American.

Shortly after the officer arrived, he saw the nude man, 23-year-old Mansfield resident Clifton Tyler Sears, standing at the driver's side door of another police vehicle threatening another officer to not get out of the car.

Sears, who had abrasions on his body, admitted to smoking "meth" and that he also had some alcohol.

The officers secured Sears into the back of the patrol car and took him to Rockdale Medical Center to be cleared for incarceration.

Hit and run turns into DUI arrest

Jackson Diazperez, a Conyers resident, was arrested Saturday night for a DUI, DUI less safe, hit and run and open container of alcohol.

At approximately 10:35 p.m. police were dispatched to the area of Highway 138 and Sigman Rd in reference to hit and run that had just occurred.

The officer was advised the vehicle would be a dark BMW, and that the victim saw the suspect vehicle pulling into the parking lot of Auto Zone on Hwy 138.

Already traveling south on Hwy 138, the officer passed the Auto Zone and saw a passenger car in the roadway ahead in the right lane. The license plate number on the vehicle matched the description, and the officer pulled over the suspect on Malcolm St.

After making contact with the driver, the officer informed Diazperez the reason he stopped him was because it was reported the vehicle had been involved in a hit and run. Diazperez said his car rolled back into the vehicle and there was no damage.
While talking with Dazperez, the officer observed the suspect's eyes were very bloodshot.

The officer then asked Diazperez to step out of the vehicle where he detected an odor of alcoholic beverage.
After conducting field sobriety tests, the officer conducted a breathalyzer test, in which Diazperez tested positive for presence of alcohol.

After placing Diazperez in the backseat of patrol car, the officer searched Diazperez's vehicle and discovered an open container of Coors Light in the back floorboard behind front passenger's seat. The can was still cold and still contained beer inside the can.

Diazperez was then transported to the Rockdale County jail.

Two arrested for possession

At approximately 7:44 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6 a Conyers police officer conducted a traffic stop on Flat Shoals and Parker Rd. concerning a cracked windshield.

Before pulling over ablue 1991 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight, the officer observed the front seat passenger sit up and turn his baseball hat around to the front, light a cigarette, and begin talking quickly to the driver.

After the driver stopped the car, the officer saw her reach behind her and place a bag in the backseat.

Upon making contact with the driver, Stephanie Ann Schoonover, 23, of Covington, the officer saw what appeared to be a marijuana roach in the center ashtray.

The officer requested I.D. from Schoonover, as well as the passenger, who said he didn't have any.

"I also noted while standing at the passenger window that he would look at me," the officer wrote in the report. "In my past experience I have found that when someone is exhibiting this type of behavior there is some type of criminal activity afoot."

The officer asked Schoonover to come to his vehicle for a license check, where she told him she was on probation for possession of Zanax. The officer asked her about smoking marijuana, and she stated she has in the past, but it had been a very long time.

The officer asked her if there were any drugs or open containers of alcohol in the car, and she told him there was an open whiskey bottle in the car but they had not been drinking it that day. After getting consent to search the car, the officer located a small amount of marijuana "shake" in the front driver seat and a plastic bag in the center console/arm rest that did contain marijuana. The total amount of marijuana located was about 7 grams.

Shoonover, and the passenger, Kevin Skinner, were both taken to the Rockdale County jail.
