The Tykes, Tots and Teens (TTT) Consignment Sale is looking to make one local family's Christmas much brighter by providing $500 in winter clothing and gifts for their children.
TTT is asking for nominations of local families who are suffering from extraordinary and unfortunate circumstances and cannot provide these items for themselves. The $500 will come in the form of "TTTcash" and can be used at the TTT Consignment Sale.
Interested community members can nominate families through Friday, Sept. 30 by going to www.tykestotsteens.com and filling out the nomination form.
TTT's founder, Laura Johns, says she just wants to help a family who wants to help themselves.
"I know TTT helps a lot of families - most of which want to be smart with their money and others who are very financially restricted. But we want to make a bold impact on a specific family this season. I've been at the bottom before and I know how it is to need a boost.
"It's a good feeling to help someone who is trying to help themselves through their unfortunate time. Our hope is to be able to grow the tradition into helping multiple families in the future by incorporating other sponsors and donors who could help provide additional support."
A family will be chosen by TTT before the beginning of their fall sale on Oct. 8.
TTT is also accepting donations from other community members, churches and businesses that will help the selected family. This can include groceries, gift certificates, products or monetary donations. Donations should be made by Oct. 8. Donations can also be made up until Dec. 24, for the selected family. If you'd like to make a donation, you can contact Laura Johns at (678) 984-2909 or email her at conyers@tttsale.com.
TTT began in 2006 and has grown to be one of Georgia's largest consignment sales with over 500 consignors. TTT holds sales twice annually (in the spring and fall) at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers and at the National Fairgrounds in Perry. The upcoming fall sale will be held Oct. 8 through Oct. 15.
