The NewRock Legal Society, a volunteer bar association in Rockdale, Newton and Walton counties, recently installed its 2013 officers.

Attorney Caycie Dix was named president, while Tami Wells Thomas was named vice president, Stephanie R. Lindsey was named secretary, Sherri Washington was named treasurer and Keisha Hudson was named vice president of technology.

The ceremony took place in the chambers of recently-elected Rockdale Chief Magistrate Judge Phinia Aten.

The primary mission of the NewRock Legal Society is improving public trust in the bench and bar through community service initiatives, legal education programming and consequential interaction and collaboration with local government official and other bar organization.
