New report cards

The Rockdale school system has changed the way kindergarten through third grade students receive their grades. A standards-based number system will now be used as opposed to the previous A, B, C grades.

A number system will allow a parent to see their child's progress and in what categories he or she might be deficient. We especially endorse the fact that materials and expectations will be sent home with each report card. This will help each student have an accurate evaluation of their progress.

Changes like this go towards ensuring that the education of Rockdale County's children will be as good or better as any received in the state.
