Mrs. Nellie Watson Whitfield, age 82 of Conyers, died Monday, March 28, 2011.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Whitfield, Jr.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Sam Harber, Conyers; sons, Toney Whitfield, Sarasota, FL, Jeff Whitfield, Oxford; grandchildren, Terri and Dave Gerber, Michael and Katy Harber, Matthew Harber, Jason Whitfield, Molly Whitfield, Clay Whitfield; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Staples, Stockbridge; numerous nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Whitfield enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, playing Bingo and Solitaire.  She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves.  Mrs. Whitfield worked as a cook at Betty's after retiring from Piedmont Molding.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward Funeral Services Chapel with Rev.
