IN BRIEF: Rockdale County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vacant residence on Sherwood Circle after workers at the home discovered what appeared to be a munitions container, according to a Rockdale County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

Deputies called for assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Bomb Squad, who responded to the scene.  Their X-rays of the container revealed it to be empty. It was determined that there was no danger to the public. Units from the Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Bomb Squad have left the scene.
