Movie productions and activity continue at a healthy pace in the metro Atlanta region and the state, and Conyers-Rockdale is no exception.
Several film productions have been scouting in the area, most notably two thrillers with big action names.
The Arnold Schwarzenegger film and QED International production “Breacher,” is the story of a DEA heist gone wrong, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The Alcon thriller “Prisoners” stars Hugh Jackman, who plays a small-town carpenter who kidnaps his daughter’s kidnapper. The film is slated to shoot in early 2013, according to the Hollywood Reporter. A team of technical scouts came out earlier to several locations in Rockdale, said Gina Hartsell, the Camera Ready Liaison for Rockdale County.
“The Vampire Diaries” also began filming its fourth season in Covington and the east Atlanta area. The CW Network show, which centers around a young girl torn between two vampire brothers, has been a hit with teen audiences. The show’s fourth season will premiere “Growing Pains” Oct. 11.
Rockdale and Conyers has recently been the site of several films and TV productions including “Fast Five,” “Joyful Noise” with Queen Latifah and Dolly Pardon, MTV’s “Teen Wolf” TV show, “American Reunion” of the American Pie series, and the Clint Eastwood film “The Trouble with the Curve.”
