Oxford resident Morgan Wright has been awarded with the American Morgan Horse Association Hunter Seat on the Flat Silver Medal Award for her performance at the Dixie Cup Spring Classic Horse Show held at the Georgia International Horse Park on May 3 through 5. Wright, 16, qualified to compete for the Gold Medal at the 2012 Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show held in Oklahoma City, Oct. 6 through 13. Excellence in equitation is valued by AMHA and is recognized through its AMHA Medal classes, held at local and regional Morgan horse and all-breed shows.
