More elevated seating for commissioners' meeting room built

The room where the Rockdale County Board of Commissioners meet will look a little different when the board reconvenes next Tuesday, April 7.

An extra row of elevated individual seating, for three or four people, will be the new addition to the Assembly Hall, 901 Main Street, Conyers. The new seats will be near the left side of the room, adjacent to where the BOC currently sits.

To make room for the new stage, the first row of audience seating on the left side of the room had to be removed leaving only two seats. Who will be seating in the seats during the meeting is unclear, but it may be for other county officials.

Most of the work installing the seats occurred over the past week. The BOC didn't meet this because it was the fifth Tuesday of March.
