The Rockdale community will have a chance to help benefit the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, along with themselves as revolution running hosts a 5K run/walk event.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 12 beginning at 8 a.m., following morning mass and is open to all able-bodied runners and walkers.
Registration costs $25 dollars and includes a T-shirt to participants. All donations will go to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit with $50 percent of race profits benefitting the Monastery food bank.
The race will take place on a well-defined route near the soon-to-be-developed woods and future extension of the Arabia Mountain Heritage Area.
