UPDATED: The alert for James Hawkins Davis was canceled Thursday morning after the 71-year-old was located at Wal-Mart. A Wal-Mart employee found the man and contacted 911.

The Conyers Police Department needs the public's help in locating a missing 71-year-old Conyers man, James Hawkins Davis.

An alert was issued Wednesday night for Davis, a black male, 6'1" 145 lbs, who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's. He had been discussing wanting to go back to North Carolina. 

Davis was last seen at the Dollar General in the Salem Gate shopping center on Iris Drive in Conyers around 7:15 p.m.
