Pete Mecca, author of A Veteran's Story series in The News, will be sharing one of his tales in the upcoming issue of Georgia Magazine.

His brief history on the American Legion will be featured in the publication's July issue.

The American Legion continues to offer services to communities, especially young people. A sizable portion of Mecca's story is dedicated to the Legion Riders - one of the patriotic groups in America long-due for recognition.

Several local veterans from Rockdale County and Newton County will be featured.
