Mr. Evan "Max" Erickson, age 32 of Avondale Estates, died Thursday, July 7, 2011. He was preceded in death by his step-father, William Jenks. He is survived by his wife, Kristin Erickson; daughter, Eliza James Erickson, both of Avondale Estates; father, Lon Vernon Erickson, Philippines; mother, Brenda Erickson Jenks, Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gustaf and Mimi Erickson, Marietta, Gabriel and Valerie Erickson, Covington; mother-in-law and husband, Beth and Ken Saren, Cumming; father-in-law and wife, Bill and Elaine Townsend, St. Simons Island; brother and sister-in-law, J.C. and Emily Velez, Atlanta; 1 nephew; 2 nieces; and a countless number of friends. Max graduated from Rockdale High School in 1997. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing. Family was most important to Max and he had a very sweet soul, a gentle spirit, and an infectious laugh. Through this tragic loss, over 50 people have been helped through his unselfish gift of organ donation. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 11, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Haven Fellowship Church, 2240 Smyrna Road, Conyers with Dr. Steve Powers officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
