The question of whether Byron Christopher Jordan was competent to stand trial on charges of bestiality was settled Tuesday, when he was sentenced on the charges. Jordan was charged in June 2010 with bestiality after witnesses allegedly saw him having sexual intercourse with multiple horses. Newton County Superior Court Judge Eugene Benton ordered Jordan in June of last year to undergo a mental evaluation before the court proceeded with those charges in order to see if he could be held criminally responsible for his actions.
