A crash on Ga. Highway 138 at South River Thursday ripped a Mustang apart and sent two to the hospital.
Around 5 p.m., a white and tan Ford Expedition and a white Ford Mustang crashed when the driver of the Mustang allegedly overcorrected, according to a bystander. The force of the crash split the Mustang into pieces.
One patient was transported by ambulance to Rockdale Medical Center and another was life-flighted to Atlanta Medical Center. Patients were reportedly able to speak with deputies on scene. The driver of the Expedition was reportedly released from the hospital with bruised ribs, according to her husband.
At least six patrol cars, two fire engines and one fire rescue truck responded to the scene.
No fatalities were reported.
