UPDATE: Friday night's Rockdale County vs. Newton basketball games have been postponed. No make up date has been set.

Weekend games are still expected to be played as scheduled.

While the Patriots, Bulldogs and Seminoles planned to tip-off Tuesday night on the hardwood, Winter Storm Leon had a different idea, forcing local teams across the area to cancel regularly scheduled contests.

The Bulldogs and Seminoles Tuesday night contest was was moved to Thursday night, but the game has once again been canceled after Rockdale County Public Schools announced that all schools would be closed on Thursday. No set make up date has been set, but team officials said the game may be played on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

The Seminoles contest against Apalachee set for Feb. 4 has been moved to Monday, Feb. 3. There will be no junior varsity games and varsity action will start at 5 p.m.

Heritage's regularly scheduled contest on the road against Winder-Barrow has been canceled. No make up date has yet to be set.

Saturday games are expected to be played as scheduled unless further school closings are announced.

Heritage retuns to action Saturday at home against Salem at 6 p.m.
