Local Democratic candidates Courtney Dillard, State Senator Ronald Ramsey and Congressman Hank Johnson are among the dignitaries scheduled to headline a get-out-the-vote rally at the Lakeview Estates Community Action Center on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m.

Also attending will be Rockdale Democratic Party Chairman Stan Williams, Rockdale County commission Chairman Richard Oden. The Lakeview Estates Community Action Center is located at 1 Frontier Drive.

The local rally, organized by the Committee to Elect Courtney Dillard and Democracy for America, is scheduled to tie in with a national rally in Washington on Oct. 2.

Democracy For America is a political action committee founded by Governor Howard Dean that "seeks to build a grassroots network that supports fiscally responsible and socially progressive candidates for all levels of office."
