Lightning struck Rockdale Healthcare Center rehabilitation home Thursday afternoon, starting a small fire and causing the building to be evacuated.

Around 3:30 p.m., lighting strruck a cupola at the rehabilitation home, located at 1510 Rensaissance Drive, Conyers. 

According to Rockdale County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Lt. Chris Kozikowski, "There was a small amount of fire in the attic."

About 78 of the building's occupants were evacuated and 15 were sheltered at the location.

The fire reportedly did not reach the living quarters. 

There were no injuries reported.
