Rockdale residents woke up to light snow this morning, but that's not expected to last for long.

The National Weather Service issued a forecast of a chance of rain and snow before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 11 a.m. and noon.

The day is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 48. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

There is a warning for patchy black ice through mid-morning, so drivers are advised to use caution.
