LifePoint donates $5,000 to Kim Atkins Foundation for breast cancer detection

The Kimberly Chase Atkins Foundation recently recieved a $5,000 grant from the LifePoint Community Foundation, which Rockdale Medical Center helped secure. The announcement was made jointly by hospital CEO Bryan Dearing and Jeffrey Seraphine, President of the Delta Division of LifePoint Hospitals of which RMC is a part.

Benny Atkins, presdient of the KCAF, said, “We are very grateful for this contribution to our fifth annual Kim Atkins Memorial Tennis Tournament. The $5,000 from the LifePoint Foundation will help us meet our tournament goal of $35,000. The money from this and other fundraising events will be used to  purchase a mobile mammography unit with digital mammography equipment for outreach in our community."

"We deeply appreciate the contributions the Kimberley Chance Atkins Foundation has made to our community,” said Bryan Dearing, RMC CEO. “Rockdale Medical Center is very supportive of their mission to promote early detection of breast cancer and educate the public about breast cancer prevention, treatment, and recovery,” he added. 

Rockdale Medical Center is part of LifePoint Hospitals, which operates 48 hospital campuses in 17 states. As a philanthropic arm of LifePoint Hospitals, the mission of the LifePoint Community Foundation is to promote health and well-being in the communities served by LifePoint.
