Elected officials, dignitaries, Friends of the Library, and community members gathered Sunday afternoon to celebrate and dedicate the newly renovated Nancy Guinn Memorial Library.

The renovation, funded with a combination of special purpose local option sales tax funds, state funds, and county funds, came in under the budgeted amount of $7.9 million, according to Mike Kessler, chair of the library's Board of Trustees.

The renovated library features an expanded computer lab with 52 computers, a classroom within the computer lab, meeting rooms, snack and vending area, expanded children's area, and a special law library with geneological and local history materials.
