Levett completes Nat'l Sheriffs' Institute training
Sheriff Eric Levett

Rockdale County Sheriff Eric J. Levett recently completed participation in the 105th session of the National Sheriffs' Institute held in Aurora, Colorado, April 6-11. The NSI is the only national executive development program designed for sheriffs.

Sheriff Levett joined 21 other sheriffs from across the country for training on contemporary challenges facing America's sheriffs today. In light of those challenges, the sheriffs explored the role of the local sheriff in providing effective leadership for the public good in such areas as public safety, criminal justice system policy, community relations, and organization effectiveness and efficiency.

This free program is co-sponsored by the National Institute of Corrections and the National Sheriffs' Association (NSA).

Fred G. Wilson, NSA Director of Operations, said, "Sheriff Levett is a leader with vision for the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office. It is an honor to have Sheriff Levett join the more than 2,500 graduates of the NSI since 1973."
