Dear Editor: On behalf of Jim ’N Nick’s Bar-B-Q here in Conyers I want to thank everyone who came out to support the recent United Way fund raiser. Thanks to Wes Goodman, Cathy Harris and the students of the Rockdale Career Academy Culinary Arts Program, we were able to prepare and assemble over 2,200 plates of Bar-B-Q for delivery or pick up. This is the fifth year that Jim ’N Nick’s has participated as a sponsor and we are very proud to work with this great group of folks, both at the school as well as the staff of United Way. I also want to give a thumbs up to the other community sponsors who helped make the event such a huge success. Great team work from everyone. I also cannot forget the volunteers who helped package, serve or helped to deliver the plates through out the community. Once again a great job by them.
As I mentioned, the United Way is a great cause, and they have a fantastic local staff who goes out of their way daily to help those in need. Please, if you are ever asked to donate your time, talent, or financially, I encourage you to do so. As their motto says.... Live United. Thank you Conyers and Rockdale County for another successful event.
