Mr. Vernon Leon Humphries, age 70 of Conyers, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Betty Eaton, Conyers; son, Chris Humphries and Sandy Kitchens, Conyers; sister, JoAnn and John Witherington, Sr., Conyers; nephew, John and Jennifer Witherington, Jr., Statesboro; niece, Monica and Paul Broderick, Colorado; great-nieces, Elise Broderick, Sadie Witherington. Mr. Humphries worked for Kraft Foods in Decatur and Michelin Tire before founding S&H Vending, which later became East Metro Vending. He graduated from Rockdale County High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Sodom Cemetery, Conyers, GA. Family will receive friends Friday, November 26, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
