Large amount of crack seized in drug bust

IN BRIEF: A multi-week undercover drug investigation by the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office and Conyers Police Department led to the seizure of a large amount of crack cocaine from a Conyers home on Friday.

Following multiple neighborhood complaints, the joint Conyers Police Department and Rockdale County Sheriff's Office Narcotics & Vice Unit began an investigation into drug activity at 1635 Ridgeview Drive in Conyers.

The multi-week investigation included undercover drug purchases from the residence.

A search warrant was executed just after 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27. During the search warrant, approximately 2.5 ounces of crack cocaine was recovered from the residence.

Torrence Ferrante Butler, 40, of Conyers, was arrested and is currently in the Rockdale County Jail facing a charge of Trafficking in Cocaine.
