IN BRIEF: The Rockdale County Board of Education approved offering the position of principal at Shoal Creek Elementary to Joseph Landerman, currently principal at Ola Middle School in Henry County. The vote, unanimously approved, occured during a special called meeting for personnel on Tuesday, July 3, and was made dependent on Landerman being able to get out of his contract with the Henry County Board of Education. All RCPS school board members attended except Wales Barksdale and Brad Smith. Former SCE principal Blake Craft reportedly retired from the position at SCE after 28 years in education.
