KKK fliers found in Newton County yards

COVINGTON - The Newton County Sheriff's Office is investigating several complaints of Klu Klux Klan recruitment fliers placed in Newton County residents' yards.

According to a press release issued by the Sheriff's Office, the flyers are being placed inside of plastic bags along with some rocks and were found in widely scattered parts of the county.

This case has been assigned to a team of investigators with the Newton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation's Division, which is conducting "a very active investigation by identifying and interviewing witnesses."
