Mrs. Katherine (Kat) Lee-Wagoner was born April 8, 1934 in Americus, Georgia to the late Mr. Lewis James Mapp and the late Mrs. Cora Mapp. At a young age she accepted Christ and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia. She was educated in Rockdale County, Georgia. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Eddie Lee and from that union were born nine children. She was employed at Lithonia Lighting in Conyers, Georgia. She also worked for the Board of Education, Fort Bend County in Richmond, Texas. She worked for the state of Texas in Transportation, Richmond, Texas until retiring. She met and was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Earnest Wagoner of Galveston, Texas who preceded her in death. She returned to work as a caregiver until her health failed. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mr. Sylvester Ames Lee and Mr. Paul Franklin Lee and three brothers, Mr. Willie James Mapp, Mr. Wilson Mapp and Mr. Lewis James Mapp. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Mr. and Mrs. Carolyn V. (Bill) Norton of Rosenberg, TX, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Wayne (Tammy) Lee, Jr. of Conyers, GA, Mr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Gayle (Richard) Lee-Lucas of Conyers, GA, Mr. Joseph M. Lee of Conyers, GA, Mr. Charles E. Lee of Victoria, TX, Mr. Emmitt J. Lee of Conyers, GA, Mr. Lyndon D. Lee of Alamo, GA; 2 sisters, Ms. Sally Estes of Conyers, GA, Ms. Irene Wilson of Conyers, GA; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Friday, January 27, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and a wake will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
