As I know I have mentioned before, probably several times, fall in the south is the time for some serious fall festival action. After sweating for so many months, the chance to stand outside and not feel like you’re melting is too much for us to handle. We MUST go outside, and if we’re out there, we might as well do some crafts and eat a funnel cake. Here’s one of your chances to do that this weekend. There are tons of things going on around town, including the Porterdale Volunteer Fire Department’s fall festival. You’ll have the standard stuff there: booths, food, inflatables, raffles, as well as a booth decorating and costume contest. All proceeds go toward the maintenance and repair of the fire department. So head out there Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and get your festival on!
