James (Jim) T. Duncan, age 88 of Covington, GA, died Thursday, August 11, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Carol Duncan, Covington; son, Greg & Carol Duncan, Chino Hills, CA; step-daughter, Leslie & Freddie Fantauzzi, Covington; step-son, Billy McCullough, Russellville, KY; grandchildren, Jeff & Julie Duncan, Lauren & Macy Eatherly, Chloe & Ryan McCullough and great-grandchildren Lucas & Lily Eatherly. He is also survived by sisters, Barbara Smith, Shirley Towe, Joyce Green, Betty Motley and Jan Eatherly, all of Bowling Green, KY; brother, Jack Duncan, Deary, ID. Jim was a retired crane operator and worked on the Alaskan Pipe Line, as well as off-shore oil platforms in California. He was a proud WWII Veteran in the European Theater and was a member of General Patton’s Third Armor Division, 277th Field Artillery Battalion. Up until a few years ago, Jim enjoyed traveling to California and made annual trips to Wyoming to go elk hunting. He was also a great enthusiast of fishing and trail riding. Jim will be greatly missed for his “colorful” stories of times past and his love for his family. No formal funeral services will be held at his request.
