Jack Simpson, a current deputy with the Newton County Sheriff's Office and former agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and World War II veteran, celebrated his 91st birthday this Fourth of July.
Newton County Sheriff's Office joined in the cheer Monday. Newton Sheriff Ezell Brown presided over the celebration, with NCSO employees joining in.
Dep. Simpson has been with the NCSO for more than 15 years.
Prior to joining NCSO, Dep. Simpson spent 23 years as a special agent with the FBI.
He entered law enforcement in the 1950s and has been recognized as the oldest, certified, on duty peace officer in Georgia.
