Potential homebuyers will have a one-stop-shop to determine program eligibility. They will be able to complete an NSP eligibility application, meet with lenders, review closing process with closing attorneys, receive information from home counselors, receive information on available and soon-to-be available properties from asset management firms and receive down payment assistance information.
The seminars will include:
March 8: Educators (All school system employees)
March 9: Public safety employees
March 10: All government employees
March 11: Real estate professionals (10 a.m. to noon) and local business employees (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Interested homebuyers with a total household income under $113,550 and willing to attend an eight-hour H.U.D. certified education course may be eligible for NSP. The NSP is open to all families whether residing in Rockdale, wishing to relocate or just seeking homeownership. Eligible applicants who end up purchasing a home can receive up to $14,500 in down payment assistance.
The meetings will be held from Monday, March 8, through Thursday, March 11 at the J.P. Carr Community Center at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
