Several new restaurants and stores are coming to Conyers after city officials recently issued building permits.

76 gas station and Food Mart, 1256 Green Street
The new gas station and store should open sometime this year on the former car lot, according to manager Shawn Ali. The store's design will include brick and stone to "go with the Olde [Town] Conyers feel," he said.

Breakers Express Restaurant, 1360 Dogwood Drive
A spin-off of the Breakers Korean BBQ & Grill restaurant in Duluth.

Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, 2121 Highway 20 SE
A local franchise of the Kansas-based restaurant chain will open in mid-September in the Village at Millers Chapel shopping complex, a company spokeswoman said.

Harbor Freight Tools, 1910 Highway 20 (former Publix location)
Harbor Freight is a discount tools and equipment chain based in California.

HomeGoods, 1550 Dogwood Drive
The Massachusetts-based discount home furnishing store chain will open a location in the former Staples building sometime this fall, according to a company spokeswoman.

RaceTrac, 1744 Ga. Highway 138
The Atlanta-based gas station and convenience store chain will open a location at the former Shell station on the corner of Ga. Highway138 and Sigman Road. City Manager Tony Lucas recently told the City Council that this RaceTrac will include a deli and ice-cream shop.
