Heritage girls' tennis team's first match was a success, defeating Rockdale 3-2 Wednesday.

Rockdale took the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches, with Summer Walker beating Bianca Brown, 6-0, 6-0 and Ciara Chesser beating Julie Roseberry 7-5, 6-1, respectively.

Logan Bouchillon picked up Heritage's singles win, beating Kylia Havens 6-0, 6-0. Heritage won both doubles as Fran Murry/Devon McLaurin beat Abby Bradford/Alliyah Bird 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 and Abbey Taylor/Alexis Smith beat Gabby Church/Sydney Norton 6-0, 7-6 (7-5).
