Bringing home the big one: The Heritage High School academic team competed in a two-day tournament in which they went undefeated to claim the AAAA title.
The Heritage team compiled an 11-0 record and outscored their opponents by a combined score of 2,630 to 460.
The team members were Elizabeth Lara (Captain), Taylor Holland, Avi Amin, Allister Lane and Jessica Wages. Team coach is Jim Hauck.
In the last 14 years, the team has won five championships, finished second four times and third three times.
