The tornado watch for Rockdale, Newton and surrounding counties has been lifted, but a hazardous weather outlook still remains for Sunday and Sunday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, severe storms are possible with widespread showers and thunderstorms continuing. Thunderstorms will have the potential to produce damaging wind gusts and large hail. The most likely timing for the storms are before 8 p.m.
A flash flood watch is also in effect.
Isolated thunderstorms are also possible across eastern portions of north and central Georgia Monday.
