Conyers Middle School is on lockdown after a single gun shot was heard inside the school, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.

The RCSO posted on its Facebook page that the shot was fired from a restroom inside the school. The firearm was recovered and a student has been detained.

The post continued that no injuries have been reported.
