The Georgia State Patrol, along with many other organizations throughout the state, will act as Santa’s helpers this holiday season, collecting toys for needy children.

Collection boxes will be placed at Walmart locations in Rockdale, Newton and Walton counties, Slayton said. Donations should be new, unwrapped toys, and toys received will go to children in the areas in which they are collected.
