Golden State Foods employees helped brighten the day of 25 students with the Barksdale Boys and Girls Club with the annual Build-a-Bike program Nov. 1. GSF employees took time to help build a bike out of bicycles and parts donated by the GSF Foundation. Chick-fil-A donated food supplies and Rockdale County Sheriff's Office Deputy Capt. Andy Arnold held a bicycle safety seminar.

"This event meant the world to them," said Barksdale Boys and Girls Club program director Carol Wyre. "They know that people in the community care and they were happy to know Golden State Foods thought enough about them to buy the bikes and get their employees to volunteer."
