Gravity Craft and Homebrew Supply, Rockdale's first "growler bar," is slated to open Sat., Aug. 9 at 1136 Dogwood Drive, Conyers.
A growler bar or station lets customers buy a large, refillable jug-called a growler-filled with a draft beer of their choice. Gravity's selection will only include craft beers.
Gravity also will sell supplies to homebrew beer and wine and to create homemade cheeses. And it will offer classes on using the supplies.
The grand opening is 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. The growler station, with at least 21 beers on tap, will be open. Brewing packages and equipment will be for sale.
Customers and attendees will receive tickets for door prizes that will be drawn every hour. Prizes include beer signs, T-shirts, beer glasses and tickets to a brewery tour at Red Brick brewery in Atlanta.
