Generosity: The Business Connections group recently donated $1,000 each to two Rockdale nonprofits - Rockdale Emergency Relief, which runs a food bank and provides emergency utilities and housing assistance to families in financial crisis, and Rockdale Cares, which provides education and training to the developmentally disabled. Dotti Bala said, "I think the board had decided these were the most worthy in the two groups that needed the donations pretty badly this year, because of the economic situation we're all in." The 25-member networking group has been in existence for 30 years and connected to the Conyers Rockdale Chamber of Commerce for four years. The group meets each Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. at Jim ‘n Nick's.
