Saturday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m., Turkey Giveaway; Nehemiah Empowerment Ministries, 1005 Harding St.; first come, first serve; recipients must register to reserve a turkey; (770) 755-4319. 

Sunday, Nov. 18, Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner; 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. American Legion Post 77’s second annual Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner. Free and open to seniors over 65 years old or senior veterans. To sign up, call (678) 949-2490 or come by Post 77 on Tuesdays or Saturdays after 4 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 18, Thanksgiving Dinner for homeless veterans. 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Lou Walker Senior Center, 2538 Panola Road, Lithonia. (404) 427-3104.

Tuesday, Nov. 20, Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service. St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2621 Ga. Highway 20. Call (770) 483-3660 for more information. The Thanksgiving offering will benefit Family Promise of NewRock, a collaborative interfaith, nonprofit providing hospitality and social services to restore homeless families.

Thursday, Nov. 22, “Unto the Least of These.” Annual Thanksgiving  lunch. 11 a.m. Open to anyone who does not have a place to celebrate with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
