Safety day: Thirty-three local girl scouts visited the Conyers Police Department on the Girl Scout Safety Day Out to earn their law and order badge. The day consisted of learning about Internet safety, hearing a representative from the DA’s office talk about juvenile crimes and consequences, observing a roll-over simulator provided by the Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institute, and observing a K-9 demonstration by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.
